NUTRIRHIZE® – The Mycorrhizae Bio-Activator Technology >>
NUTRIRHIZE® is a homogenous granular fertilizer formulated to improve root-soil interactions to increase nutrient uptake. Its patented MBA (Mycorrhizae Bio-Activator) Complex works to strengthen mycorrhizal fungi colonization to stimulate soil microbes. It comes as a 0-0-35 high-efficiency granular, with sulfur, calcium, and magnesium homogenized into a single prill. The precise ratios of each nutrient provide a more balanced and efficient pre-plant fertilizer.
NUTRIRHIZE® can be utilized in a commodity fertilizer blending or by itself in pre-plant or top-dress applications.

What is Mycorrhizae and Why Does it Matter?
Mycorrhizae or Mycorrhizal Fungi (MF, for short) is a mutually beneficial relationship between root and fungi. This prevalent symbiotic relationship for many crops provide carbon and food sources for the fungi while trading off water and nutrients to the roots.
Mycorrhizal fungi have proven to improve nutrient availability and uptake, especially for non-mobile nutrients like phosphorus (P) and zinc (Zn).

MBA Complex – The Patented Technology Behind NUTRIRHIZE®
The MBA Complex, which is the natural technology in NUTRIRHIZE®, stands for Mycorrhizae Bio-Activator. The technology stimulates and strengthens native mycorrhizae connections in the soil- the network between plant – root – mycorrhizae – soil – nutrients. This association increases the reach of roots beyond the rhizosphere and soil micropore level, promoting access to water and nutrients.
The Mycorrhizae Bio-Activator (MBA) Complex within NUTRIRHIZE® contains a very specific plant extract that functions as a trigger to help induce stronger and faster root-MF associations. Many TIMAC AGRO products contain materials known as “food for biology in the rhizosphere” like the Rhizovit® Complex in EXCELIS MAXX®, part of the FERTIACTYL® Complex, and the technology within DUO MAXX®. NUTRIRHIZE® provides a different level of precision-based outcome along with a different delivery system as a high-efficiency granular fertilizer.
The main function of the MBA Complex is to increase the root absorption area exponentially. A good example would be if there was a fence around your house and the only resources (water and food) you could use were within a 1-mile circle. For some people who live in a resource-rich environment (lots of food and plenty of water) this is not a problem. However, most of us would prefer the ability to set our boundaries further out where our fence would make a 100-mile circle. This gives us a better chance to secure the groceries and water we need. That’s the primary “mode of action” of the MF – the root gaining additional surface area from the MF where it can locate and bring the plant roots needed nutrients and water.
In a corn study, MBA Complex has been proven to induce increased sporulation (reproductive ability) by 2.6 times over 8 weeks (MycAgro Lab, 2015). In a similar wheat study, the MBA Complex increased the frequency and length of mycorrhizal roots by 63.2% and 78.4%, respectively (MycAgro Lab, 2015).

This product is manufactured at TIMAC AGRO’s granulation facility, located in Americus, GA. It comes in 50# bags, 2000# tote sacks, or bulk.
