Timac Agro Receives Industry Certification for DUO MAXX®
READING, PA – Timac Agro USA’s Chief Executive Officer Jake Tanis today announced that it’s fertilizer additive biostimulant product DUO MAXX® received a top certification indicating that the product meets industry recognized standards for efficacy, safety, and composition.
“We are extremely proud to be the first fertilizer additive to have received the Certified Biostimulant label from TFI,” CEO Jake Tanis said. “There is an increasing number of biostimulant products on the market, making decisions related to using them more and more confusing for farmers. Having the certification label from TFI provides both the retailer and end-user with the assurance that we’ve gone the extra mile to adhere to the US Biostimulant Industry Guidelines.”
The Certified Biostimulant program is a third-party verification effort led by The Fertilizer Institute (TFI) to help the US Biostimulant Industry maintain standards around claims, efficacy, safety, and composition. “Biostimulant products can offer farmers significant advantages when it comes to nutrient use efficiency, enhancing soil microbial populations, and fighting abiotic stress. This program supports the continued development of sustainable and innovative agriculture practices in the US” says Ed Thomas, TFI Vice President of Government Affairs.
“For Timac Agro USA, it demonstrates our commitment to the highest quality and testing methods.” Tanis concluded. “Ag retailers can assess products more confidently as they make buying decisions, and it gives farmers confidence to make an informed decisions about which product is right for them and their needs.”
Timac Agro USA’s certified product DUO MAXX® is a fertilizer additive used to treat commodity nutrient sources proven to enhance nutrient use efficiency. When describing the fertilizer additive space, Timac Agro USA’s Southern US Director of Agronomy Michael Pisciotta said, “The fertilizer additive and enhancer space is seeing a new wave of novel concepts around nutrient protection, efficiency, and uptake.” He continues, “it’s important for DUO MAXX® to be recognized as an innovative solution within the group of fertilizer additives. We hope that gaining the Certified Biostimulant label is viewed as an important step in changing the way that farmers move forward with improving the efficiency of traditional fertilizer sources.”
